Connecting science and well-being

On the 10th of December, the secretary general of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, Mr. Chris Buijink, visited Newtricious.

Mr. Buijink took the opportunity to have a look, in person, at how the government can stimulate and support small and medium enterprises in innovative projects. He was accompanied by Marcel de Groot (Coordinator innovation program Food & Nutrition), Jacques de Win (Director Regional affairs South of the former Ministry of Agriculture), and Dolf Hulspas (Cluster leader Ministry of EA&I).

The team of Newtricious presented the different current innovation projects. Jos Nelissen also discussed the origins and development from a traditional agricultural enterprise to the food and life sciences company Newtricious, that executes these innovative projects successfully. The support of the government on several levels is essential to this success.

The response of the guests was very positive. We are tremendously honoured with this visit and are pleased that our activities find support also in the new Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation. This was emphasised by the tweet below:
