Newtricious participated again in collective fair attendance International Food Technology Food Expo, Chicago (IL) 18th-20th July 2010
In cooperation with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (part of the Ministry of Economic Affairs) the Food Valley foundation organised a collective fair attendance to one of the largest international food technology expositions in the US. The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) organised this annual IFT Food Expo already for the 69th time, this year located in Chicago. The fair in Chicago took place from 18th – 20th of July, and is the largest and most important of the IFT fairs. Yearly it attracts ten thousands of food experts from across the world.
The Food Valley foundation attended in 2007, 2008, and 2009 with a collective fair attendance and again there was a ‘Holland Food Valley’ pavilion this year on the fair. Just as in previous years, Newtricious was part of this Dutch pavilion. Project Manager Lieke van Adrichem was at the IFT to represent Newtricious.
As this year’s IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo® in Chicago it was obvious from the crowds that roamed the 230,000 net sq ft at Chicago’s McCormick Place Convention Center and the packed Scientific Sessions that the show was one of the biggest and the best in recent years. In all, over 21,500 food professionals (as of 2 p.m. on July 20) attended the 2010 meeting to learn and share the latest innovations in food science and technology. In addition, the IFT Food Expo was sold out with over 1,000 companies exhibiting in more than 2,100 booths.
Next year the IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo® is held in New Orleans, La., June 11–14. In the meantime, if you missed anything at this year’s event, be sure to check out the coverage on IFTLive!
